Stuffed Gobi onion Paratha

Gobi paratha is another popular paratha from north india along with ALOO PARATHA, MOLI PARATHA,

METHI PARATHA, ONION PARATHA, PANEER PARATHA but stuffing is different.

I learnt this gobi paratha recipe from my husband, he is very good in cooking rather than me.first i thought making gobi paratha was very difficult but when i learnt how to make gobi paratha from my husband then i realize that making gobi paratha is very easy.

Some important tips for making  a yummy gobi paratha recipe:

The dough needs to be kneaded smoothly so that grated spiced cauliflower is easily stuffed.Apply  butter or ghree on paratha while frying.

INGREDIENTS FOR GOBI PARATHA STUFFING:

2 tsp oil

2 cup gobi grated

1/2 cup onion chopped

1 tsp adrak grated

2 chopped green chilli

1/2 tsp haldi/turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp  daniya /coriander powder

1/2 tsp  saunf powder/fennel seeds

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2  tsp  amchur powder/dry mango powder

salt to taste

coriander leaves finely chopped

 

INGREDIENTS FOR GOBI PARATHA DOUGH:

1 cup atta/whole wheat flour

salt to taste

water as required for kneading

1/4 cup atta for dusting

INSTRUCTIONS

GOBI STUFFING RECIPE:

  1. firstly, put 2 tsp oil in a pan heat oil and add ginger, green chilli and saute it.
  2. further add chopped onion and saute foe 2 minutes.
  3. After this add grated gobi and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Add all spices like haldi, red chilli, garam masala, dry mango powder, daniya powder, fennel seeds salt. saute welll.
  5. Finally add coriander leaves and keep it aside.

 

ROLLING GOBI PARATHA RECIPES:

  • firstly pinch a medium sized ball from dough.dust them with some flour on the rolling board.
  • start rolling it spread some butter over one side of roll disc and place the prepared stuffing in centre.
  • take the edge and start pleating bringing to centre. Sprinkle little flour and roll to of a chapati size.
  • sprinkling little wheat flour helps paratha not to be moist and sticky when rolling with belan.
  • Be careful as not to understuff or overstuff the paratha.

ROASTING GOBI PARATHA RECIPE:

  1. On hot tawa placed roll gobi paratha.
  2. Roast gobi paratha with ghee/butter till browned roasted on both sides.
  3. Finally serve hot gobi paratha with sauce, curd or pickle.
